History of Changes ================== Changes are listed in REVERSE CHRONOLOGICAL order Version Date Change ======= ========= =============================================== 1.37 15 Oct 98 Certain executables were causing Skimmer to crash big-time. Bollixed the filename for localization catalogs. Skimmer wasn't finding its language! START button wasn't being enabled after the initial HD-prefs setup. Empty EXTENSIONS list was causing Enforcer hit. Library report window would get out of sync with itself if you viewed then closed then viewed again the report. Library report window was not clearing if the selected list (free or used) was empty. Library recognition was missing libraries called within Arexx scripts if they were not seperated from function calls with parenthesis (). 1.35 7 Oct 98 Mucho thanks to M. H. for a brilliant debug of the "mystery bug" problem. While I am not 100% sure, I think the problem was that some people had processors too fast for the program, and we were getting a time difference of 0 between the start of the scan and the first file. Then, the program would try to divide the number of bytes scanned thus far by the time difference -- zero -- and BOOM. Pretty wierd, eh? 1.34 5 Oct 98 Rewrite of the search engine to remove the dependancy on the AmigaOS function ExAll(). It was brought to my attention that this function has been known to be a bit unstable in certain circumstances. 1.33 Aug 98 Arexx recognition was aborting after the first library was matched inside an Arexx script. Fixed 1.32 10 Jun 98 Main reason for this release: I'm moving. See registration info for new mailing address. Skimmer now considers any text file beginning with "/*" to be an Arexx script and will look through it for library references. The bad news is that some genuine text files will probably be parsed. The worse news is that this may cause some librarys' use count to increment. The good news is that it is safer to KEEP a library than to delete it and then NEED it. 1.31 1 Jun 98 French localization thanks to Didier Giron. Sorry, didn't realize my email address was hidden! Corrected now.
